I’ve decided to begin blogging again.
My intentions are multi-purposed:
1. I’d like to create something that will connect me more to all of the people who are far away (and perhaps to those who are also close). Since moving I realize I haven’t been the most communicative person, and this will hopefully build some bridges to the many people that I love.
2. I live life more aware and open-eyed when I am in the habit of writing and creating. This blog will have both pictures and words, and I intend to post to it a few times each week. This is selfishly helping me to stay in a creative state of mind- paying closer attention to those things that make the day-to-day life remarkable.
3. I haven’t picked up my camera in almost a year and a half (with the exception of trips and a few special occasions), and I’ve decided it’s about time to begin taking pictures again. Looking back at photos from the past few years, there is a huge gap that needs to end now. Life is wonderful and even though seeing it through solitary images certainly cannot capture the richness and beauty of it, it can create reminders of those moments that are so vibrant and worth remembering.
4. I want to be intentional about things- writing, photographing, stopping to look around... and I think this will serve as an accountability for that- since it is, after all, public.
So…. Here goes. As a refresher for myself, I’ve been browsing through my former blog. Again, there’s about a year gap… but hopefully this second round of blogging will help me (and you) appreciate the moments in life that can so easily be ignored.
